Spring’s boldest trend comes in the simplest color palette of them all: Black & White. Pile it on head to toe from clothing to accessories and jewelry for a chic & sophisticated look. Pair a stack of bangles with faux pearls, a pair of statement earrings or chunky rings in black or mother of pearl resin with a graphic print like these looks from Oscar de la Renta.

On her never ending search for inspiration, art galleries have always been one of Miriam’s favorite ways to spend the weekend. This time she visited the Frieze New York Art Fair with her two beautiful girls. This is the 2nd year of the fair in New York, including over 180 of the world’s leading galleries. Focused on contemporary art by living artists, the fair exhibited the work of exciting artists from around the globe. The fair’s unique setting on Randall’s Island Park in the middle of the East River also contributed to the great experience of her visit: http://friezenewyork.com/

Audrey Hepburn is one of her style inspirations with a classy and feminine look reflected in her dressing. A street-style star, Gio knows exactly what to wear and how to wear it – making her a true style icon.

In February of 2013 Miriam Salat traveled to Guatemala with Water For People, the organization we have been working with for the past few years. After the trip and in honor of Mother’s Day, we are proud to present the Miriam Salat Water For People Collection. This year, give Mom a gift that keeps on giving by providing funding to Water For People’s projects in developing countries all over the world. From India, Africa, Central and South America, Water For People is working to help the world’s 783 million people that do not have access to safe drinking water and 2.5 billion that are without adequate sanitation facilities.

We are very excited and intrigued by the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s new exhibition PUNK: Chaos to Couture. Examining the growth of punk from its origins in the 1970s all the way to its influence in modern fashion, nearly 100 designs for men and women will be on display, from designers such as Vivienne Westwood, Christopher Kane, Karl Lagerfeld, Rei Kawakubo, Helmut Lang, and Gianni Versace. Music from celebrated punk bands including the Ramones, Sex Pistols and The Clash will accompany the exhibition. It kicks off May 6th with one of the biggest nights in fashion, the Costume Institute Ball. Here’s a look at some of our favorite pieces from Moda Operandi’s Punk Shop paired with Miriam Salat’s own edgy studded accessories.

Miriam Salat’s Mother-of-Pearl Collection arrives just in time for Mother’s Day! Swirling, shimmering white resin creates an elegant stament in earrings, rings, necklaces, bangles and cuffs. Here are Miriam’s favorites for gift giving!

As the weather warms up you can finally feel confident to step out in some brighter colors. Miriam Salat’s Sunset & Salmon collection evokes shades of a summer sky, when the yellows, oranges and pinks meld together into a shimmering haze. For the first time we are introducing rose gold vermeil, a subtle warm touch to complement the resin. We can’t wait to pair it with a pastel lace dress and espadrilles by Valentino. Shop the collection today and visit our Polyvore page for more styling tips! We are obsessed with this print of an LA sunset by Myan Soffia, shop it here —> etsy
