The area of Myeong-dong is considered Korea’s shopping Mecca, this special shopping district is filled with internationally famous brand stores as well as unique specialty and department stores.  Opened in 1930, this is Korea’s first & oldest department store!  We are so excited to be part of this historical shopping venue!

Hats: An Anthology by Stephen Jones

We hit the opening reception of Hats: An Anthology by Stephen Jones at The Bard Graduate Center in New York City’s Upper West Side for some inspiration.  The exhibit, on loan from the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, showcases over 250 hats ranging from functional to fabulous.  Some of our favorites were Noel Stewart’s Stacked Feather Cube, Søren Bach’s fox-fur pompom hat, Shirley Hex’s crepe paper flower hat.  We also loved Stephen’s collaborations with top fashion designers like Ralph Lauren, Marc Jacobs, and Giles Deacon.   There was even a hat by our fav NY Times style photog (and legend) Bill Cunningham!

Miriam + Tadashi Shoji

Miriam Salat’s jewelry was featured in the Tadashi Shoji Spring/Summer 2012 Runway Show at NY Fashion Week’s opening day, Thursday, September 8, 2011.  The beautiful collection was inspired by “…the enchanting beauty and splendor of the tulip.  Rich in it’s color yet delicate in its form…”

Stylist Tina Chai chose bangles, cuffs and rings that complemented the colorful collection of silk linen, embroidered lace, and draped tulle.

Miriam’s Fall Top 5

Miriam chooses her must-have pieces for the Fall season! The new collection features 3 groups: Bordeaux, Espresso/Gray, and Black/Ivory.

Moroccan Nights

For Fall 2011, the Miriam Salat Boutique in The Shops at Columbus Circle transforms into a Moroccan souk.  The shop comes alive with fabric flags in shades of burgundy and peach hanging from the ceiling.  Added touches include lanterns and filigree window designs.

From the back of the shop you can see over-sized images from our latest campaign.  Each photo showcases a different collection:  Espresso/Gray, Bordeaux, and Black and Ivory.
